London: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) ha s decided to terminate the services of Jeffrey Robertson, the lawyer for Salman Rushdi . PTI had previously announced the appointment of Jeffrey Robertson as the lawyer for PTI Chairman Imran Khan.Doughty Street Chambers has deleted the tweet confirming Jeffrey Robertson’s appointment as Imran Khan’s lawyer, and they have also deleted tweets related to the case upon the client’s request.Under intense pressure, PTI has also removed tweets from their Twitter handle and requested Doughty Street Chambers to delete tweets. PTI had announced Jeffrey Robertson’s services for taking Chairman Imran Khan’s case to the United Nations and international courts.According to Jeffrey Robertson’s chambers, an initial fee of £25,000 was paid for preliminary discussions, and Doughty Street Chambers stated that they are awaiting instructions to proceed with the case. The initial payment was made by a party leader in London.Just three days ago, Zulfi Bukhari filed a lawsuit in London, stating that they will soon announce significant developments regarding Chairman Imran Khan’s case on an international scale. They had told more than a dozen journalists that they were launching a major legal initiative
.According to PTI sources, Zulfi Bukhari had contacted Jeffrey Robertson after obtaining permission from Imran Khan. Sources close to Zulfi Bukhari say that they will raise their voice for Chairman PTI all over the world. After obtaining the services of Rashed Yaqoob to pursue the matter internationally, Imran Khan had faced criticism and subsequently relieved him of his duties just 10 days later.
