Lahore: The announcement for the national cricket team for the upcoming World Cup, which is set to begin in the first week of next month in India, was made today in Lahore. Chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq, during a press conference in Lahore, stated that we will reveal which players are part of the team, we have selected those individuals, may Allah bless it, and InshaAllah (God willing), Pakistan will emerge victorious.He mentioned that according to ICC regulations, they can include 15 players in the squad and 3 reserves, who will travel with the team.He revealed that the team includes Babar Azam (captain), Shadab Khan (vice-captain), Abdullah Shafique, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, Imam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Rizwan (wicketkeeper), Mohammad Wasim Jr., Salman Ali Agha, Saud Shakeel, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Usama Mir.Inzamam-ul-Haq said that the three reserve players are Mohammad Haris, Abraar Ahmed, and Zaman Khan.He emphasized that they have tried to select the best team and prayed that this team performs well in the World Cup and brings victory.
