Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court requested to register a case in FIA against former Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, former DGISI General Faiz Hameed and others for breaking the legal barrier and misrepresenting various incidents after retirement. Notices have been issued while two journalists Javed Chaudhary, Shahid Maitla and Pemra were also issued notices.
On Monday, Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Amir Farooq has issued a written hearing order on the request of citizen Atif Ali.
According to the petitioner, journalists Javed Chaudhary and Shahid Maitla wrote two articles just for viewership which had a negative impact on the society. Under the guise of freedom of expression, criminal behavior came to the fore, on which a case was filed but no action was taken.
