Lahore: The issuance of visas for the Pakistani cricket squad for the ICC World Cup, which is to be held in India, has faced delays, according to reports. According to sources, the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs has not yet issued visas for the Pakistani cricket team .The delay in obtaining visas has affected the Pakistani squad, as the documents for the 25-member squad were sent two weeks ago, but the issuance of visas requires the approval of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad. Sources suggest that the national cricketers had gathered their passports for the return from the Asia Cup. According to reports, Pakistan is the only team that has not received Indian visas so far. PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) had also contacted ICC (International Cricket Council) regarding this matter, and they received a response stating that the visa issuance process is ongoing, and the visas will be issued soon. PCB has been receiving the same response consistently in their interactions. According to initial plans, the national squad was supposed to travel to India from Dubai after their stay in Dubai. Due to the visa delay, the squad will now reach India via Dubai on September 26th. It is hoped that visas will be issued by Monday for the squad’s travel.
