Islamabad: Justice Qazi Faez Isa has taken the oath of the 29th Chief Justice of Pakistan. The swearing-in ceremony of Justice Qazi Faiz Isa was held at the Presidential Palace, where President of the country, Dr. Arif Alvi, administered the oath to Justice Faiz Isa. On this occasion, his wife, Sarina Isa, was also present alongside him.In the oath-taking ceremony, Prime Minister Imran Khan and Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa also participated.Justice Qazi Faiz Isa has taken the oath today as the 29th Chief Justice of Pakistan, following the retirement of former Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial.It’s worth noting that President Arif Alvi had previously approved the appointment of Justice Qazi Faiz Isa as the Chief Justice of Pakistan under Article 175-A, Section 3 of the Constitution on June 21 of the previous year. His appointment is expected to have a positive impact in reducing the divisions within the Supreme Court.
