Islamabad: The Election Commission has decided to maintain the current number of seats in the constituencies for the national and provincial assemblies. According to the Election Commission, the initial delimitation work for national and provincial assemblies has reached its final stages, and the Election Commission will approve the initial delimitation on September 27th.
In the new delimitations as well, the Election Commission has kept the current seats for the national and provincial assemblies. The delimitation committees of the Election Commission have completed their work on the initial delimitations. In their issued statement, the Election Commission further mentioned that the work on constituencies is progressing rapidly across the country ahead of the general elections. The list of initial constituencies will be issued after the approval of the Chief Election Commissioner and members, and suggestions and objections on these delimitations can be submitted from September 28th to October 27th. The Commission will address these suggestions and objections by November 26th, and the final list will be issued on November 30th.
